About Me

My photo
I am very shy at first but when you get to know me you'll know I never shut up. I have a sarcastic sense humor and like to joke around a lot but I can also be very compassionate. I am a huge sports fan and I am obsessed with baseball. My favorite place to be is Turner Field and before I die I want to visit every MLB stadium at least once. I am a very basic person and do not rely on lots of materialistic things- I think high maintenance people are either gold diggers or extremely selfish or both and I wouldn't date one so I'm not a huge fan. I love tattoos because they are creative and artistic and permanent. I am a very impulsive person but I like to make my actions and words clear and remembered. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Every film has a style. There is comedy, drama, romance, action, horror, etc. I would like to focus on one movie specifically and that is Dear John. John is a soldier who meets a college student and falls in love with her. Their relationship is based mostly on letters because they live so far away from each other but every time he comes home they get together and they act as if they see each other every day. He has 2 weeks left of his contract until he can come home to be with Savannah forever but he signs on an even longer contract because of the 9/11 attacks. This hinders their relationship.

It does not end like every other romantic movie does either. Her letters come less and less until she writes her final letter. She says that because he has been gone she has fallen in love with her best friend and she plans on marrying him.

John is very upset but when he comes home he finds out that her husband, which was also his friend is suffering and is very sick. He is about to die and is trying to raise money so that he can have the surgery and continue to live. John makes an anonymous donation which single-handedly covers the cost of the surgery and saves his life. Although he cannot be with the girl he is in love with, he wants her to be happy. He says, "I finally understood what true love meant...love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be."

Approach to television and film

A director will approach a scene in a movie or in a show depending on the atmosphere and the mood that is trying to be portrayed. The dialogue, camera angle, lighting, and music will all impact this. An example of this would be the trailer to the movie "The 5th Quarter".

The music, the tears, the screaming, the emotional appeal all emphasize the tone of this movie. The whole movie is like this and each scene makes it feel like you are there. Each element completes the scene. With out the music, the scene would be sad, but the audience wouldn't cry. With out the father begging and shouting to see his son, the audience would worry but they would not feel his pain. With out the flashbacks, it would still be known that Luke dies but the audience would not understand his personality and feel like he is also their friend.

Each element blends in together to add the dramatic touch and the understanding of what it is like.

advertising

"Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark.  You know what you are doing, but nobody else does."  ~Steuart Henderson Britt

This quote means that advertising is essential for any business to get it's name out there and to be recognized. Without advertising, business would not be flourishing like it does. Sometimes it may appear repetitive, unnecessary, funny, or an interruption to the game or movie you are trying to watch, but it does serve a purpose.

Advertising is way to describe or draw attention to (a product, service, or event) in a public medium in order to promote sales or attendance. It comes in several different methods such as:

1. Television

2. Print

3. Radio
